Clinic Expert Turkey Death
Official Statement Regarding Recent Reports About Clinicexpert
Recent news and reports have combined partial truths with significant misinformation. Many of these stories were published without proper investigation, often derived from other sources and exaggerated with inaccuracies. We feel it is necessary to address these claims and present the facts clearly.
Understanding Plastic Surgery Practices in Turkey
In Turkey, plastic surgery services are generally provided in two ways:
- Procedures performed by staff plastic surgeons employed by hospitals or clinics.
- Procedures performed by independent plastic surgeons who rent operating rooms from hospitals or clinics.
The Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure involved in this unfortunate incident was not conducted by a Clinicexpert staff surgeon. It was performed by an independent plastic surgeon who rented an operating room from our facility.
Accountability
Under these circumstances, Clinicexpert cannot be held accountable for this tragic outcome.
For over 14 years, Clinicexpert has provided operating room services to its staff surgeons as well as hundreds of independent plastic surgeons. Is it fair to tarnish the reputation of an entire clinic and its medical team due to one isolated incident?
Addressing Organ Theft Allegations
Another baseless accusation in these reports involves claims of “organ theft,” alleging that organs such as the brain, heart, and parts of the intestines were missing.
Following the incident, and in compliance with legal requirements, the patient’s body was transferred to the Turkish Forensic Medicine Institution for an official cause-of-death investigation. As part of routine autopsy procedures, tissue samples from some organs may have been collected for examination.
- Brain transplants are not currently possible anywhere in the world.
- Heart transplants require the entire organ, as partial heart transplants are not medically viable.
These facts demonstrate that the organ theft allegations are scientifically and medically baseless.
Closing Statement
The reports circulating about this case are speculative, misleading, and have been sensationalized with inaccuracies. We urge the public and media to approach this matter with fairness and responsibility, refraining from premature judgments based on unverified information.
We trust that you will form your opinions based on the facts shared here.
Sincerely,
The Clinicexpert Team
